The Common offers travellers an innovative and premium food and drink offering.
The branding captures the essence and spirit of modern day Queensland which represents the people, the open space, and the lifestyle. It’s an inviting and comfortable escape to the hustle and bustle of the airport and exudes a fresh, energised and effortlessly cool feel.
The digital signage and collateral design needed to draw inspiration from quintessential Queensland style (the sun, the earth and the ocean) to reflect the overall brand identity and concept.
Drawing inspiration from James Turrell's art and his use of light and space movement, the brand icons transition into colourful circle forms that represent the Queensland sun. The use of colourful palm tree reflections and abstract patterns to symbolise the ocean.
